- 32 km north of Valletta
- 2 km north of the inland village of Mellieha
Mellieha Bay Description
- Mellieha Bay has a clean, gently shelving, sandy beach with shallow water, ideal for children. A variety of watersports are available including some of the best scuba diving in the Mediterranean.
- The beach is the longest on Malta and is backed by the main road
- On the other side of the road is a wetland bird Sanctuary, the Ghardira Bird Sanctury, but it is not open to the public.

- Mellieha Bay has the largest beach on Malta. The sandy beach is clean, gently shelving, with shallow water, ideal for children. A variety of watersports are available including some of the best scuba-diving in the Mediterranean.
