St Paul's Bay Old Town Harbour
- St. 0aul’s Bay has the name of both the old fishing village and of the very large Bay.
- The old town of St. 0aul’s Bay ha expanded to the south and engulfed the popular tourist areas of Bugibba and the newer resort of Qawra. The 3 area are totally combined together and many holiday operators often refer the entire area as St Paul's Bay
- St. Paul’s Bay is located on the North East coast of Malta and is the largest resort on the north of Malta.
- On the southern side of the large St. Paul's Bay.

St. Paul’s bay description
- This is a large and popular tourist area and part of neighbouring resorts, stretching for 5km along St. Paul’s Bay, around Qawra Point and into Salina Bay.
- St Paul's bay contains the old town, this page, and the newer areas of Bugibba & newer still Qawra
- A picturesque resort with good attractions and easy access to some of Malta's finest scenery and best rocky beaches. This is traditionally Malta's largest summer resort and can be split into four areas of contrasting age and amenities - Xemxija, Bugibba, Qawra and the Old Town. Of the group, Bugibba, is the largest resort in the area, with good views of St Paul’s Bay and its islands. Proving its popularity, Bugibba has the liveliest nightlife, a cinema, bingo hall and even a casino.
St. Paul’s bay seafront
- Almost the entire foreshore is rocky, In many locations the rocks are flat and suitable for sunbathing
- There are 3 small harbours along the seafront either in the old town area of St Paul's bay or in Bugibba
- Swimming and snorkelling is popular from the rocks. Ensure you locate a suitable exit point from the water, and beware of the black sea urchins found on the rocks.
- The entire area is great for water sports.
St. Paul’s bay beaches
- There are plenty of areas of flat rock where you can sunbathe
- The very clear water is ideal for a refreshing swim or snorkelling.
- Entry & more important exit from the sea is usually by metal ladders set into the rocks, or from concrete ramps. Resist the temptation of jumping in from the rocks without locating a suitable exit. The rocks can have razor sharp edges & are covered in black sea urchins with nasty spines making exit difficult especially if there is sea waves or swell, moving you around in the water.
- Malta SPB Public Beach at Bugibba has a small pebble beach, almost sand, with small sea front cafe. A small water parks
- Bugibba Water Park. A small water park ideal for babies and kids up to around 10. With short sessions
- Quattro Water Park Bugibba a complex of large floating inflatable moored around 80m from the shoreline
- Bugibba Perched Beach Popular artificial beach on a raised rocky shoreline, with umbrella rentals, snorkelling & dining.

- There is a small beach at the head of St Paul's Bay, the rest is rocky
- The nearest large sandy beaches are about 8km away at Mellieha Bay and further away in Golden Bay.
- There is a regular bus route to these beaches from St Paul's Bay
Shopping in st. Paul's bay
- The usual range of tourist souvenirs can be found throughout St. Paul's Bay with Bugibba having the main shopping centre in the local area.
- Smaller shops and supporting markets are also present in the surrounding area.
- For more sophisticated shopping visit Valletta or Sliema. A regular bus service runs to both towns.
Nightlife in st. Paul's bay
- Next door is Bugibba which is the main hub of activity at night in the area
- But Old town St. 0aul’s Bay has a selection of quieter bars and cafes.
- Some of the hotels in this area also have their own nightclubs and special nights of entertainment
